This summer I am looking forward to some other alternatives to the bonnet or a baseball cap when my hair isn’t “done.” First off bonnets in public can get you labeled as unprofessional real fast.
I usually opt for a monochrome baseball cap but lately I just don’t feel polished enough in that and the athletic wear 365 wardrobe everyone has been doing since leggings and gym shorts became a thing—isn’t me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not passing judgement on anyone’s errands style but for me the concept of elevated basics is very appealing right now.
I want to look put together but effortlessly, as in I didn’t have to think about it and this “said outfit” can work for all contexts.
Brainstorm with Me
Option 1: Scarves
I want to try styling more headscarves like these. I want versatile colors and to support fair trade or small businesses. I think wrapping these in simple ways can form a summer routine. Add the right fair-trade earrings and voila! You have it made.

Option 2: Bandanas
The square shape can be super helpful. I plan to tie this like a bow. Maybe over mini twists. The goal here is femineity and a soft summer look. Think picking flowers.
