Avocado Deep Conditioner Recipe


Avocado can be used in a deep conditioner to moisturize and add shine to dry, damaged hair. Avocado deep conditioner is made by mixing a ripened avocado with oils.

Recipe: Avocado Deep Conditioner
  • 1 Avocado
  • 3 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup of Aloe Vera Juice
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • A drizzle of castor oil
Recipe Instructions:
Preparation: purchase one avocado from your local grocery. Place avocado into a paper bag for 1-2 days or until ripened.
*special note: a ripened avocado is a dark green color and feels soft to touch.

In a blender mix all of the ingredients except the castor oil until smooth. Pour the light green mixture into a small bowl. Drizzle a small amount of castor oil on top. Mix again with a spoon. Part your into 4-6 large sections. Apply the deep conditioner to your hair from root to tip. Place a plastic cap on hair for 30 minutes before rinsing hair.
